Vysakh has been on a long break after scripting history with his last outing Pulimurugan. The Mohanlal starrer became the only Malayalam movie to cross the 100 crore mark and thus emerged the highest grossing Malayalam movie of all time.

The director had announced that his next movie after Pulimurugan will be with Mammootty. It will be the sequel to their 2010 superhit movie Pokkiriraja. The movie titled as Raja 2, is written by Udhayakrishna.

Recently, there were few posters about a casting call for Vysakh’s movie with Mammootty. However, the director in his Facebook page has written that he is completely unaware of such a casting call and requested all aspiring film enthusiasts to stay away from such traps.

Raja 2 will mark the teaming up of the Pulimurugan trio; Vysakh, Udhayakrishna and Tomichan Mulakupadam. The movie will be a complete mass family entertainer, that will be made according to the tastes of today’s audience. It will not be a sequel, but an entirely new movie with a different story and background.

Raja 2 is touted to be the biggest movie in Mammootty’s career in terms of budget. India’s best technical team and VFX crew will be associated in this movie, which is being planned as a trilingual in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu. Reportedly, Tomichan Mulakupadam has got a bulk 100 days call sheet from Mammootty for the movie. It is still not known when the movie will actually go on floors.
