Medameedha Abbayi; Here’s the first look poster of Oru Vadakkan Selfie’s Telugu remake

Telugu remake of Malayalam superhit movie Oru Vadakkan Selfie is titled as Medameedha Abbayi. The movie’s official first look poster was unveiled recently. The Telugu film stars Malayali actress Nikhila Vimal and Allari Naresh in the lead roles. They will be reprising the roles played by Manjima Mohan and Nivin Pauly in the original.

G Prajith, who directed the Malayalam movie is also helming the Telugu version. The director has slightly tweaked the movie’s plot to suit the nativity and sensibilities of the Telugu audience.

Nikhila Vimal is making her Telugu debut with this movie. She made her debut as the female lead in Sreebala K Menon’s film Love 24×7. Last year she also made her Tamil debut, Vetrivel in which she was paired opposite Sasikumar.

Oru Vadakkan Selfie, released in 2015 was a comedy entertainer that had a very relevant social message. The movie, written by Vineeth Sreenivasan also marked the directorial debut of G Prajith. Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Vineeth Sreenivasan played the lead roles in the movie. Manjima Mohan made her debut as a female lead with this movie. It was jointly produced by Vinod Shornur and Lal Jose.
