The movie’s characters- Prabhakaran, Prakashan, Uthaman, Kumara Pillai, K G Pothuval, Yashwant Sahai, Anandan, Raghavan Nair, Udhayabhanu etc are widely popular among all generations in our society. This cult classic film was written by the multi faceted Sreenivasan and directed by Sathyan Anthikad. Sandesham was produced by SST Subramaniam under the banner of the popular Evershine productions and was distributed by Evershine release.

Music department was handled by Johnson and camera is cranked by Sathyan Anthikkad’s regular Vipin Mohan. Sandesh is considered as one of the greatest films ever made in Mollywood. It was included in the list of 100 great films ever made in Indian cinema by IBN Live. It is a satire that discusses the theme of politics and society with black comedy. Apart from garnering critical acclaim, it was also a huge commercial success.
